Marine Inboard Specialists
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Marine Inboard Specialists website and the purchase of marine engines, generators, transmissions, propulsion components, replacement parts and related products from us.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them before completing a purchase.

References to “Marine Inboard Specialists,” “we,” “us” or “our” mean the business identified above. “Customer,” “you” or “your” means the person or organisation using the website or purchasing a product.
2. Eligibility to purchase
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.
Products are available to both individual consumers and commercial customers, subject to applicable laws, export restrictions and shipping availability.
If you place an order on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you have authority to bind that party to these terms.
3. Product information
We aim to provide accurate product titles, descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and availability information.
Because marine products can have model-year, serial-number and configuration differences, customers should verify compatibility before installation.
Product images may be representative. Minor differences in packaging, colour, labelling or included components may occur when manufacturers update a product without changing its principal function.
The manufacturer’s current model number, serial number and technical documentation take precedence when determining exact specifications.
We will not knowingly substitute a different product, model or configuration without the customer’s approval.
4. Product condition and availability
The condition of each product—such as new, reconditioned or used—will be stated clearly on its product page.
A product will only be described as in stock when it is available for allocation and expected to dispatch within the processing time shown on the website.
Products that are not immediately available will be identified as:
- Backordered.
- Available on preorder.
- Special order.
- Made or configured to order.
- Temporarily unavailable.
Estimated availability and lead times are not guaranteed manufacturer production dates. If availability changes after an order is placed, we will notify the customer and explain the available options.
5. Prices and currency
Unless otherwise stated:
- Website prices are displayed in U.S. dollars.
- Prices do not include sales tax, shipping, customs duties, VAT or import charges.
- Applicable U.S. sales tax is calculated according to the shipping destination.
- International duties and taxes are the customer’s responsibility unless the order confirmation states otherwise.
The product price, shipping charge and available payment methods will be shown during checkout or in the written order confirmation before payment is completed.
We will not add an undisclosed product or shipping charge after accepting an order.
6. Pricing and listing errors
We take reasonable steps to keep website information accurate. However, typographical, technical or pricing errors may occasionally occur.
If we identify a material error before accepting an order, we will contact the customer and offer the choice to:
- Proceed with the corrected information; or
- Cancel the affected product for a full refund.
We will not charge the corrected price without the customer’s approval.
7. Placing and accepting an order
An order is submitted when the customer completes checkout and receives an order acknowledgement.
An automated acknowledgement confirms that we received the order. Final acceptance occurs when we confirm payment, product availability and the order’s principal details.
We may contact the customer to verify:
- Billing or delivery information.
- Product compatibility or configuration.
- Payment authorisation.
- Freight-access requirements.
- Information required for export or warranty registration.
If we cannot accept an order, we will notify the customer and refund any payment collected for the unaccepted order.
8. Payment
Payment must be made using a method displayed during checkout or stated on an official Marine Inboard Specialists invoice.
Available methods may vary according to order value, billing country and product type.
An order will not be allocated or dispatched until the required payment has cleared. The customer is responsible for bank, currency-conversion or payment-provider charges imposed by their financial institution.
We may conduct reasonable payment or identity verification before releasing a high-value order. Verification is intended to protect customers and prevent unauthorised transactions.
Customers should confirm any unexpected change to payment instructions by calling the telephone number published on this website.
9. Order screening and cancellation by us
We may decline or cancel an order when:
- Payment is declined, reversed or cannot be verified.
- Required customer information is incomplete or inaccurate.
- The product is unavailable.
- A listing contains a material pricing or specification error.
- We reasonably suspect an unauthorised or fraudulent transaction.
- Shipping the product would violate a law, export restriction or manufacturer limitation.
- The delivery destination is not serviceable.
If we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will issue a refund to the original payment method unless another lawful arrangement is agreed with the customer.
10. Product compatibility
The customer is responsible for confirming that a product is suitable for the intended vessel, installation and operating conditions.
Important compatibility factors can include:
- Engine model and serial number.
- Horsepower and duty rating.
- Gearbox or transmission ratio.
- Propeller and shaft configuration.
- Electrical voltage and frequency.
- Mounting dimensions.
- Cooling and exhaust arrangements.
- Emissions requirements.
- Control and instrumentation compatibility.
Our team may provide general product-selection assistance, but this does not replace inspection by a qualified marine engineer, installer or authorised service technician.
If we recommend an incorrect product because the customer supplied complete and accurate information, contact us before installation so that we can review the matter.
11. Special-order and configured products
Some engines, generators and components are ordered, allocated or configured specifically for a customer.
Before payment, the product page, quotation or order confirmation will identify when an item is:
- Special order.
- Customer configured.
- Made to order.
- Non-returnable after processing begins.
- Subject to a product-specific lead time.
Special-order products may become non-cancellable once supplier allocation, manufacturing or configuration has begun. Any non-refundable condition will be disclosed before the order is confirmed.
We will not classify a product as a non-returnable special order after the purchase without prior disclosure.
12. Shipping and delivery
Processing times, transit estimates, freight requirements and international-shipping responsibilities are explained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Customers are responsible for supplying a complete and serviceable delivery address.
Engines, generators and other oversized products may require:
- Freight delivery.
- A delivery appointment.
- An authorised recipient.
- Suitable unloading facilities.
- A forklift, loading dock, liftgate or other unloading arrangement.
The customer must inspect freight at delivery and record visible damage or missing packages on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
13. Order cancellations
Standard-stock orders may be cancelled for a full refund if the cancellation request is received before dispatch or freight preparation has begun.
Special-order, configured or custom products may be subject to different cancellation conditions disclosed before purchase.
A cancellation request is not complete until we confirm it in writing.
Please send cancellation requests to:
Email: support@marineinboardspecialists.com
Telephone: +1 (214) 937-0535
14. Returns and refunds
Eligible products may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery, provided they meet the conditions in our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.
General return conditions include:
- The product must be new, unused and uninstalled.
- Prior return authorisation is required.
- Customers pay return shipping for voluntary returns.
- A 20% restocking fee applies to approved voluntary returns.
- The restocking fee does not apply to confirmed incorrect, damaged or defective products.
- Approved refunds are issued within 10 business days after inspection.
The complete Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms.
15. Damaged, defective or incorrect products
Visible freight damage, missing packages and incorrectly supplied products should be reported within 3 business days of delivery.
Customers should retain:
- Original packaging.
- Freight pallet.
- Delivery receipt.
- Shipping labels.
- Photographs of the shipment and product.
Reporting within three business days assists with carrier claims and does not remove any rights provided by applicable law.
Do not install, operate or modify a product that appears damaged, defective or incorrect.
16. Warranty
Warranty coverage varies by product and manufacturer. The applicable warranty may be described on the product page, manufacturer documentation or our Warranty Policy.
Warranty claims may require:
- Proof of purchase.
- Product and engine serial numbers.
- Installation records.
- Commissioning documentation.
- Maintenance records.
- Inspection by a qualified or authorised technician.
- Photographs, diagnostic reports or returned components.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, misuse, neglected maintenance, contaminated fuel, improper storage or operation outside manufacturer specifications may not be covered.
Manufacturer warranty decisions are subject to the applicable manufacturer’s conditions.
17. Installation and operation
Marine engines, generators and related components should be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified marine technician.
The customer and installer are responsible for:
- Following manufacturer installation instructions.
- Confirming vessel and system compatibility.
- Complying with safety, electrical, emissions and maritime regulations.
- Completing required commissioning and warranty registration.
- Conducting necessary inspections before operation.
Marine Inboard Specialists is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, unauthorised modification or operation contrary to manufacturer instructions.
This does not limit responsibility for a product that we supplied incorrectly or that was defective at delivery.
18. International orders
International customers are responsible for understanding and complying with their country’s:
- Import restrictions.
- Customs procedures.
- Emissions regulations.
- Product-certification requirements.
- Taxes, VAT and duties.
- Registration and installation rules.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the recipient is responsible for customs clearance and acts as the importer of record.
International shipping terms, documents and delivery estimates will be provided before payment or confirmed in the order documentation.
19. Manufacturer names and trademarks
Manufacturer names, logos, model numbers and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used to identify or describe compatible products.
Reference to a manufacturer or trademark does not, by itself, mean that the manufacturer sponsors or endorses Marine Inboard Specialists.
Any statement that we are an authorised dealer, distributor or certified service provider will only be made where that relationship can be verified.
20. Website accounts and security
Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity conducted through their accounts.
Notify us immediately if you believe an account or transaction has been accessed without authorisation.
We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, a customer or a transaction.
21. Acceptable website use
You must not:
- Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another customer’s account.
- Introduce malicious software.
- Interfere with website operation or security.
- Copy or commercially exploit website content without permission.
- Submit false contact, payment or delivery information.
- Place orders using an unauthorised payment method.
22. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, graphics, photographs, page designs and original content are owned by or licensed to Marine Inboard Specialists.
Content may be viewed and printed for personal purchasing and product-research purposes. It may not be reproduced, republished or commercially distributed without written permission.
Manufacturer materials remain the property of their respective owners.
23. Third-party websites
The website may contain links to manufacturers, carriers, payment providers or other third-party websites.
We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of an independently operated third-party website. A link does not automatically represent ownership, sponsorship or endorsement.
24. Service and repair work
These terms primarily govern website use and product sales.
Installation, diagnostics, maintenance, repair and other workshop services may be governed by a separate written quotation, work order or service agreement. Where separate service terms conflict with these website terms, the specifically agreed service terms apply to that work.
25. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marine Inboard Specialists will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from delayed installation, vessel downtime, lost charter income or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights or liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or personal injury caused by negligence.
26. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, government restrictions, port closures, customs delays, labour disruptions, carrier failures or manufacturer production interruptions.
If such an event materially delays an unshipped standard-stock order, we will provide an updated estimate and available cancellation options.
27. Privacy
Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Payment information may be processed by independent payment providers and financial institutions according to their privacy and security terms.
28. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and applicable federal law, without excluding mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer’s location.
The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute by contacting our support team. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction, including an appropriate court in Erie County, Ohio, where permitted.
29. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our business, website or legal obligations.
The version displayed when an order is placed will apply to that order unless a later change is required by law or is agreed with the customer.
30. Severability and waiver
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.
A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
